Mini Bodz
Mini Bodz is a 30 minute class for children aged 2-4years. At Aussie Bodz, we believe the sooner our kids start to understand the fun and importance of fitness, the better! Our Mini Bodz classes are fun, game-filled sessions where we teach your little ones to discover movement from nose to tippy-toes! A great introduction to dance, utilising jazz and ballet techniques.

Ballet
Ballet is a graceful and elegant style of dance that incorporates the fundamental techniques for all styles of dance. At Aussie Bodz, we teach the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) Syllabus, which covers strength, stability and flexibility techniques. Ballet is an important foundation class for students who wish to pursue dance. It is recommended for all students.

Jazz
Jazz is a style of movement that incorporate fundamental dance techniques. Jazz is the spring board to many other dance styles and is often the style of dance you’ll see on screen in music videos, and on stage in musical productions. At Aussie Bodz, we focus on techniques including kicks, turns and leaps. Our routines are high-energy and fun, and are bound to improve the overall performance technique of your child.

Hip Hop
Hip Hop refers to a style of dance where students move to the rhythmic beats of hip hop music. It uses similar dance techniques to Jazz, but requires a diverse range of movements and can also include tricks in the style of ‘break dancing’. At Aussie Bodz, Hip Hop is a free, energetic and non-technical dance styles suitable for all boys and girls.

Tap
Tap is a form of dance characterised by the unique sounds of metal on a hard surface. At Aussie Bodz, we explore a range of styles of tap dancing including that of the Tap Dogs and the more traditional styles of Gene Kelly. Our routines are creative and guarantee to improve our students’ musically and rhythm. A great style of dance for boys and girls!

Contemporary
Contemporary is a highly technical dance style and can vary amongst choreographers as it lends from modern, postmodern and balletic dance styles. Contemporary can be seen on “So You Think You Can Dance” and performances by the Sydney Dance Company. At ABPA, we focus on technique and expression. Suitable for girls and boys who are serious about improving their dance skills.

Performance Group
Performance Group is a class with a heavy focus on high quality performance and technique. Entry is audition-based as we need to ensure that all students who participate in Performance Group are committed to working hard at their dancing and taking it to the next level. Performance Group will be the class that represents Aussie Bodz at local events such as the Coogee Fiesta and Coogee Christmas Carols.
*It is compulsory for Performance Group students to participate in: Jazz, Ballet and Stretch & Strength classes.

Musical Theatre
Musical Theatre is a class that combines drama, voice and movement techniques to improve our student’s expression, musicality (timing & rhythm), confidence and stage presence. This class is designed to work from basic to more complex exercises that will help all Aussie Bodz students improve their overall performance technique as well as their self-esteem in day to day life! We will improvise, learn scripts, and have FUN!

Stretch & Strength
Stretch & Strength is a class designed to increase flexibility and dance strength. It involves stretching and conditioning techniques that will help students in all areas of dance. This class is a must for all students wanting to improve their dance capabilities!

Cheerleading
Cheerleading is a sport incorporating dance, tumbling, stunting, jumps and cheers in an organised, aesthetic and unified routine. At Aussie Bodz, Cheerleading is a fun and fast-paced class based on traditional American Cheerleading. This class is great for boys and girls who want to improve their skills and flexibility… and who love to FLY!

Acrobatics
Acrobatics is a style of movement that involves a combination of dance and gymnastics. activities that make strong use of gymnastic elements. At Aussie Bodz, we focus on strength, flexibility and tumbling (rolls, cartwheels, walkovers, etc) and circus skills such as hoops and juggling. A great class for boys and girls. Enjoyed by all!

Dance 13+
Dance 13+ is a NEW class for students in High School, Years 7-9. This class is a Jazz-based session that will challenge students to push their dance boundaries. At Aussie Bodz, we will be working on foundational dance technique, performance expression and more advanced routines. A great class for all kids, beginners and experienced, boys and girls.
